French gambling regulator releases the inaugural blacklist of illegal gambling sites

The National Gaming Authority of France is working hard to weed out suspicious internet gambling platforms. It released the first ever blacklist of web pages that it had recently determined did not meet French gaming benchmarks and therefore had to be blocked. This new list contains 532 online gaming platforms and will be updated monthly. In several cases, the same shady operator created multiple sites, all of which the controller ascertained violated the law. A quick rundown highlights a few notable names. MaChance, for instance, spent a greater amount of time attempting to avoid the monitoring system than it did following the rules. Between last September and this February, it released new sites on a regular basis, triggering around 40 blocking orders.
