French senators vote for tax hikes on gambling

Senators from France have supported the government's "comportmental tax raises" that target gambling, tobacco, and soft drinks.

All retail sports bets will now be taxed at 10% instead of 7%, online bets at 15% instead of 10.5%, and lottery gross gambling revenue at 10% after MPs rejected the gambling tax hikes yesterday.
