The $400 million American Place Resort and Casino in Waukegan is still under construction by Full House Resorts, a casino developer based in Las Vegas.
The resort will include a five-star luxury hotel with 20 suites and a helipad when it is completed in late 2027. According to planning documents, the adjacent casino will have 1,640 slot machines, 100 table games, and an entertainment venue with 1,500 seats.
Since 2023, when a legal challenge attempted to halt the project, the resort has been put on hold.
