Gambling harm prevention charity GambleAware has reported receiving approximately £300,000 in Research, Prevention, and Treatment donations between April and June.
The fiscal year 2024/25 is expected to be the final year in which operators can donate directly to charities listed on the UK Gambling Commission's registry of approved organisations.
The change comes ahead of the introduction of a statutory levy, which will see all Research, Prevention, and Treatment donations collected by the Gambling Commission and distributed in accordance with the government's strategy.
