Gambler sentenced to prison after leaving daughters alone in hot car

A mother was sentenced to 94–125 months in state prison for leaving two young girls unattended in her car at a casino for more than six hours on a sweltering summer day, which ultimately resulted in their deaths.

When doctors examined the girls, their bodies had begun to decompose and neither had a body temperature, according to medical reports. Medical personnel pronounced both girls dead, and the doctors informed the local police.
