Gambling CEO highlights misuse of statistics by media

Following the publication of the UK Government's White Paper, the CEO of the Gambling Commission wrote an open letter addressing the coverage of gambling.

The CEO claims that the Commission has seen a significant number of organizations in the media mishandle statistics.

Statistics regarding the prevalence of problem gambling in the UK, in particular, have been notably inaccurate.

The confusion between problem gambling and gambling-related harm—two distinct problems—has emphasized this.

This is an serious issue actually the media should never play with such things and should always try to be as accurate as possible with such things so that they can have the trust of the people among themselves also to avoid actions against them indeed as well
