Gambling Commission fines two operators for compliance failures

The Gambling Commission, the UK's regulatory body for the gaming industry, has released a press release stating that Hillside (UK) Gaming ENC and Hillside (UK Sports) ENC have been fined £343,035 and £239,085 respectively.

Both businesses use the Bet365 name in their operations.

Failings in financial crime compliance, such as failing to perform financial sanctions checks on new customers before their first deposits, are partially to blame for the fines, as is a failure in social responsibility.
