Gambling on NFL games expected to reach record $35billion this season

The Kansas City Chiefs, who have won two Super Bowls in a row, take on the Baltimore Ravens at home on Thursday night to begin the 2024 NFL season. And with legal sports betting exploding across the country, a lot of football fans will be risk-taking and glued to their TVs.

A record $35 billion is expected to be wagered on NFL games this season, according to the American Gaming Association, far exceeding the $26.7 billion wagered by Americans on the same games the previous year.
