GamCare urges more support for gambling-affected employees

A charity that supports gamblers, GamCare, is pushing for more workplace assistance for workers who are impacted by gambling.

Just 9% of workplaces have support policies for gambling issues, according to recent YouGov research involving over 5,000 adults. On the other hand, 17% of policies address alcohol misuse, 15% address drug misuse, and 47% address mental health.

Ten callers reported difficulties at work as a result of their gambling, according to data from the National Gambling Helpline.
