Genting Berhad has released its financial report for Q3 2023, unveiling a noteworthy growth of 20.39% in group revenue, reaching an impressive RM7.37bn ($1.57bn) compared to the previous year. The main contributor to this remarkable improvement was the Leisure & Hospitality Division, which continued to bounce back gracefully.
The net profit of the group also experienced a significant surge, skyrocketing by 177.16% to an impressive RM995m. Furthermore, the EBITDA demonstrated a commendable increase, soaring from RM2.06bn in Q3 2022 to RM2.73bn in Q3 2023, representing a remarkable surge of almost 33%.
Resorts World Sentosa thrived from the ongoing recovery of travel and tourism within the region, resulting in a surge in both revenue and EBITDA. Similarly, Resorts World Genting witnessed a surge in revenue during this quarter, attributed to a surge in business volume within its gaming and non-gaming divisions, thanks to the relaxation of border controls compared to Q3 2022.
