Georgia Is Getting Nearer to Betting, But Time Is Running Out

Georgia is getting closer to legalizing sports betting. The Senate approved a change to the constitution, letting local voters decide.

Now, the House of Representatives is discussing it. If passed, a new gaming commission will regulate betting under the Georgia Lottery Corporation.

Taxes from betting will fund scholarships, pre-kindergarten, problem gambling help, and sports event promotion.
