German court rules in favor of German gambling regulator

The Saxony-Anhalt Higher Administrative Court has ruled that foreign content streamers may face bans for advertising unlicensed gambling services to German viewers.

Minors are also at risk because they frequently make up a sizable portion of stream audiences. The German gambling regulator considers streaming to be especially risky in terms of player protection because it can be used as a direct form of advertising.
