Glasgow casino's request to operate 24 hours a day declined

The efforts of Admiral Casino on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, Scotland, to increase its working hours to 24 hours a day were recently shut down by members of the city’s planning local review committee. The same casino was turned down by the city authorities once more back in November.

Admiral Casino declared at the time that it would be open around-the-clock. The request for the adult gaming center to be open around-the-clock was, however, turned down by city officials. The authorities defended their decision by claiming that the casino's round-the-clock operations might have a "detrimental" effect on the city's citizens and result in "increased football and noise at unsocial hours."
