Golden Entertainment is now one of the many casino owners who pay dividends, albeit in what seems to be a short-term manner. The Strat operator announced the results of its second quarter along with the news that its board of directors had decided to pay a special dividend of $2 per share. Golden does not currently pay a quarterly dividend and made no reference to any corresponding plans in a press statement.
The corporation that operates Arizona Charlie's will pay the special dividend, which will be just the second in the company's more than 24 years as a publicly traded company, for the first time since June 2016.
