Vivek Johri, the head of the Standing Committee of Excise as well as Customs, said on Saturday that online games in which winning depends on a specific outcome would be subject to a 28% GST on the total bet value, even though the Board is still awaiting the report of a group of cabinet members on the controversial subject.
