Hard Rock forced to wait on decision on new casino in Spain

Having attempted to establish a new casino complex in Spain for over ten years, Hard Rock International is accustomed to making delays. Legislators are holding up the approval of a new Urban Master Plan, which would allow Hard Rock to withdraw its investment, so it will have to wait.

The project continues to be highly controversial, and protesters frequently cause service disruptions at Hard Rock venues throughout the region. An official group called Aturem Hard Rock was formed to protest and attempt to obstruct the development of the complex because it is such a divisive topic.
