The previously announced acquisition of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe by Paragon Gaming to Tilman Fertitta's Fertitta Entertainment Inc. was approved on Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The purchase, which was announced in March, may conclude before the end of this month, and a rebranding to Golden Nugget may take place as soon as September, assuming that regulatory obstacle is overcome. The Golden Nugget casino conglomerate is owned by Fertitta Entertainment. The purchase's financial details weren't made public.
