Affluent individuals do tend to play poker, but more for recreational purposes than for monetary reasons. They also use this opportunity to flaunt their wealth in the casino room. Some of them just play to up the stakes and create more tension in the game

You are right. Poker can be played by all social and economic classes. It has obtained a reputation of being for the high class because of the bets and stakes that are placed, but this should not stop anyone from playing
