Have you ever been appreciated for being a gambler?

People appreciate doctorsz engineers and so many other professions but if you choose to be a gambler and take this as a profession do you think you will be appreciated by people? I have never seen anyone who boasted to be a full-time gambler appreciated and this is because they feel that gambling is an illicit activities or something that is done by people that are not responsible.

I haven't been appreciated before for been a gambler ,I don't think such have happened to me , the only thing I do is to just make the necessary money off the gambling system ,I don't necessarily need the appreciation part

This question is somehow funny to me, how can i be appreciated for been a professional gambler, it's still very hard to believe This, although i haven't been appreciated been a professional gambler before
