Gambling can have unfavorable effects on people. While many people find gambling to be pleasurable and entertaining, it can also result in issues with money, emotions, and relationships. Problem gambling, commonly referred to as gambling addiction or gambling disorder, is a condition in which a person's urge to gamble persists in spite of the potential harm it may bring.

The following are a few detrimental effects that might result from problem gambling:

Financial hardships, including debt, bankruptcy, and the loss of assets or possessions, can result from compulsive gambling.

Emotional distress: An individual's general mental health and well-being may be negatively impacted by gambling.

This can manifest itself in the form of anxiety, depression, and stress. They may also experience feelings of shame, guilt, and self-blame due to the negative consequences of their gambling.

Relationship problems: Problem gambling can put a stress on relationships with loved ones, as individuals may become isolated from their friends and family or experience difficulties with trust or communication. This may lead to separation, divorce, or other relationship issues, which can further worsen the person's emotional distress.

Physical health problems: Individuals suffering from problem gambling may neglect their physical health, hygiene, and self-care, leading to problems like sleep deprivation, poor nutrition, and poor personal hygiene.

Overall, it is crucial to recognize the unfavorable effects of gambling and seek help if you or someone you know is experiencing any of these issues. This includes seeking support from friends and family, joining a support group, or seeking professional counseling. Remember, there is always hope for recovery from problem gambling, and it is never too late to seek help.

I have never suffer any harm that's beyond my power and that's because i do practise responsible gambling at all time and make sure that i gamble with what i can afford to lose and i also practise risk management while gambling.

I have not suffered any harm as a result of my gambling career. When you know what you are doing, there is no way harm could be done. Gambling addiction causes hardship if not properly managed. Risk management remains one of the best remedy so far in gambling addiction. Where control is not maintained, then hardship would set in.

To me I've always suffer harm from gambling because it's harm to me to always put my mine into gambling and not winning much from it. That definition of gambling won't change to me until i win big from gambling
