Look, this here is a personal choice that comes down to your style of play. Some guys prefer to peek at their hole cards right away, soak in the info, and formulate a plan. Me, I usually wait to see the flop first. Them initial community cards are gonna dictate how I play my hand more than what's in my sleeve.
Letting the action unfold keeps your options open. You ain't committed to nothin' yet. Then when the flop comes down, I look at my hole cards and figure out where I want to take the hand from there. It's a subtle difference, I know, but it's kept my loss ratio lower over the long run. Ultimately though, you gotta do whatever helps you make the soundest decisions and feel most comfortable at the table. That's the only hand you need to play.
