Hong Kong police arrest 47 people in street gambling raid

On Tuesday, the Hong Kong police apprehended 47 individuals and confiscated $85,626 in currency during a crackdown on street gambling activities. The arrested individuals, comprising 29 men and 18 women, are all local residents aged between 25 and 84. Alongside the cash, authorities also seized various gambling paraphernalia.

The suspects were detained under suspicion of participating in various offenses associated with illegal gambling conducted outside of licensed gambling establishments. The police stated that the investigation remains ongoing and did not rule out the possibility of further arrests.
