Hospitality workers begin strike at various casino hotels

It has been reported that several hundred members of the Culinary Union left their jobs at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on Friday morning.

Since June 1, 2023, the estimated 700 striking employees have been operating without a contract. They consist of porters, bellmen, cooks, bartenders, kitchen staff, cocktail and food servers, and guest room attendants.

The work action is the Culinary Union's first open-ended strike in more than 22 years.
