Blackjack pros spread their risk across multiple shoe cycles to mitigate short term swings and maximize long-term returns. But how many shoe cycles does it take to smooth out variance at your local casino? 3? 5? 10? As a pro who plays 8 hours a day, I find 6-8 shoe cycles per hour allows me to make a decent hourly rate while minimizing the impact of unlucky streaks within a particular shoe. What shoe cycle threshold do you find balances risk and reward at your local casinos?
