How do high dealers affect the decision to split 10s?

Splitting tens in blackjack is an unpopular option for most players. The basic strategy recommends splitting 10s only against low dealers upcards like 2 through 6.However for an experienced card counter, I think a high dealers upcard especially Aces can sometimes make splitting 10s a profitable decision. The more high cards remain in the deck, the better chance you have of catching a beneficial third card to improve your odds when splitting 10s.
