How to figure dealer bust odds by decks:
• Estimate card removal impact. Fewer decks means bigger impact, so:
› Dealer needs high cards to bust: Lower bust odds with more decks.
› Dealer needs low cards to bust: Higher bust odds with fewer decks.
• Consider dealer's need for high/low cards to reach bust total.
› Dealer showing 5-6: Needs high cards, so bust odds go down more with more decks.
› Dealer showing 2-4: Low cards could bust, so bust odds go down more with fewer decks.
› Dealer showing 7+: Less likely to bust regardless of card effects.
• Account for how close dealer is to busting. Closer to 21 means:
› Lower card more likely to bust: Higher bust odds with fewer decks (more sensitive to card effects).
› Dealer needs multiple high cards or far from 21: Deck number has less effect on bust odds.
Estimate impact of card removal by decks and consider dealer's need for cards/proximity to 21. The more sensitive bust odds are to cards and more low cards could bust dealer, the higher odds are with fewer decks. The less sensitive to cards, the less deck number impacts bust odds. So think probabilistically based on conditions to judge dealer's likelihood of busting by number of decks.
