Professional poker players have to deal with a lot of unpredictability. The cards they are dealt and the cards other players are dealt are totally random. Even the bets and raises other players make can be unpredictable. Pro poker players train themselves to stay focused and calm. They view every hand as its own separate event and do not let outcomes of past hands affect their thinking. They study the game and other players to find patterns that can give clues. But ultimately they know luck plays a big role. They try their best to make good decisions with the information they have, and accept the results, both good and bad, as part of the game.
