How do you approach splitting pairs in blackjack?

Splitting pairs is an option available to players when they are initially dealt a pair of cards of the same rank (e.g., two 6s, two Jacks, etc.). Splitting allows you to separate the pair and create two separate hands, with each hand receiving an additional card to form a starting hand. You also need to place an additional wager equal to your original bet for the new hand.

Thanks for this informative post...I'm new to this game so I don't have much contribution to make concerning this post. But I'm open to learning tho
How were you able to know that much about casino games?

One popular strategy is to always split aces and eights, as these are considered the most powerful cards in the game. Another strategy is to split any pair that totals 8 or less, as this will give you two chances to make a stronger hand.

if you get two cards that are the same, like two 8s, its smart to split them. This means you play two separate hands giving you a better chance to win. But check what the dealer has first. it's a good move but use it wisely

Nines should be split against any dealer upcard other than a seven. This is because it can be dangerous to hold an 18 against a dealer's possible strong hand (such as a ten or ace), to be honest.
