Stay cool when players start arguing over some call. I don’t take that personal - just evaluating the details and situation objectively. The rules say what they say, I call it as I see it with nothing up my sleeve.
Differing views I get, but as the one running the show, the final call’s mine. Discuss the reasoning without seeming wishy-washy, but stand by my decision. Uncivil conduct ain’t tolerated for even five minutes more though, so watch the attitude.
Consensus where there’s merit to multiple sides, sure, but I determine when compromise’s reasonable and declare it mandatory if needed. Trust ultimately I’m ruling to keep this game fair and ensure everybody’s here to enjoy themselves.
Take a break if emotions rise too high to think straight. Perspectives can gain some clarity with distance, and we reconvene once everybody’s head’s on straighter. But key’s remembering we all came to share an experience with friends, not debate endlessly. Disputes will fade, memories endure.
Feedback for those needing a reminder how they might handle similar situations different next time, that’s given respectfully in private if at all. Use my judgment whether it likely helps or hardens positions. The choice is maintaining a good time for all, not proving any one person always right.
An approach seeking understanding over simply “winning” arguments serves that purpose well. So rules stand firm, calls get made decisively but not punitively, and unity stays the ultimate goal through patience and trust in approaches aimed at success for the whole experience we share, not just any single aspect of the proceedings. Keep that perspective at the forefront, and we all go home still friends on the other side of this silly dispute! Reason overcomes rage when priorities properly align. The game rolls on.
