Emotion always comes in betting if we are gambling heavily. That's why need to make sure that we are only gambling with money that we can afford to lose. This will not let us put much hope on winning always.
 
When I'm having high and low emotional feeling, I try to abandon gambling until I'm able to regulate my emotional feeling. To have low feeling is synonymous to non-active mindset and this could becloud our judgement making. Same thing applies to high feeling which is next to over-excitement.
