Handling the pressure of high-stakes gambling can be challenging, as it often involves larger financial risks and heightened emotions. Here are some strategies to help you navigate the pressure and make more informed decisions:

Prepare Mentally: Take time to mentally prepare yourself for high-stakes gambling. Remind yourself of the potential risks involved and set realistic expectations. Visualize different outcomes and practice maintaining a calm and composed mindset.

Educate Yourself: Gain a thorough understanding of the game or activity you're participating in. Study the rules, strategies, and odds to increase your confidence and decision-making abilities. The more knowledge you have, the better equipped you'll be to handle the pressure.

Set Limits: Set clear limits for yourself before you start gambling. This includes setting a budget for how much money you're willing to risk. It may also include setting time limits or limits on the amount of alcohol you consume while gambling.

Take Breaks: It's important to take breaks during high-stakes gambling to clear your mind and regain focus. Step away from the activity for a moment, take a deep breath, stretch, or take a quiet walk. This can also help you to avoid making impulsive decisions.

Find Support: It can be helpful to talk to a trusted friend or family member about the pressure you're feeling. Alternatively, support services such as a gambling helpline or support group can provide additional assistance. Sometimes just discussing your feelings with someone can help you to feel more relaxed.

Develop Coping Strategies: Develop coping strategies that work for you in high-pressure situations. This may involve breathing exercises, meditation, or visualization techniques. Find what works best for you and practice using these strategies before and during high-stakes gambling.

Know When to Stop: Knowing when to stop gambling can be the most important strategy of all. Sometimes it's necessary to walk away from the activity for a while, or permanently. If you find that high-stakes gambling is taking a toll on your well-being or relationships, it's time to reevaluate your priorities and make changes.

Remember, the pressure of high-stakes gambling can be challenging to handle, but with the right mindset, education, and support systems, you can make informed decisions and enjoy the activity in a responsible manner.

Focus on developing your abilities and understanding if you are playing skill-based games at large stakes. Spending time studying tactics and deepening your knowledge of the game might give you more confidence and ease the strain you experience.

Responsible gambling does really pay off. It is the only means through which gamblers can survive in gambling. Responsible gambling starts from setting up time to gamble, maximum budget to be allowed, funds affordability, control of addiction etc.

I actually have my limits, so I don't feel pressured in any way. I know what I have decided to use as stakes for a certain period of time. I will never go beyond that because I have disciplined myself well in that aspect.

I am always preaching against high stake except we are sure of the outcomes of the games which I am very sure that we can't. It is always better to stake only the amount that we are able to lose.

Throughout the game, be conscious of your feelings. Take a moment to collect yourself before moving forward if you start to feel stressed, frustrated, or overexcited. You can better control your emotions if you are aware of what they are.
