In baccarat, the score is determined by adding up the value of the cards dealt. Cards numbered two to nine are worth their face value, while 10s, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are all worth zero points. Aces are worth one point. The score of a hand is determined by adding up the value of the two cards and dropping the tens' digit. For example, a hand consisting of a 6 and a 7 would be worth 3 points (6 + 7 = 13, drop the 10's digit to get 3). The highest score that can be achieved in baccarat is 9. If a hand's total is higher than 9, the value is adjusted by subtracting 10 from the total. For example, a hand consisting of a 9 and a 5 would be worth 4 points (9 + 5 = 14, subtract 10 = 4). The player with the highest score at the end of the hand is the winner.
