It's crucial to acknowledge and deal with the impulse to seek out past victories when trying to stop gambling. You can follow the instructions listed below:

Self-awareness: Recognise your tendencies and behaviour when it comes to gambling. Pay attention to any thoughts or emotions that keep coming up in relation to chasing previous victories.

Education: Gain knowledge of the characteristics of gambling and the idea of randomness. Recognise that gambling results are largely determined by chance and that past success does not guarantee future success.

Identify the triggers that cause the drive to pursue previous victories. These signs can be external, like passing a casino, or internal, like particular feelings or circumstances.

Develop strategies to cope with triggers: One way to avoid triggers is to stay away from situations that inspire impulses to gamble. If that isn't feasible, try to find other ways to prevent the triggers from activating the impulse to chase old wins, like being mindful of your thoughts and feelings and maintaining a positive self-image.

Create barriers: You could impose obstacles that help deter you from acting on your desire to pursue previous wins. Examples of such barriers incorporate putting money in a savings account, limiting access to credit cards, or asking a friend to hold you accountable.

Find supportive friends and family: Talking about your gambling problems with friends and family can be a difficult procedure. Nevertheless, having someone to support you through the hard times will provide you with a significant advantage over the urge to chase past winning streaks.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy: If your impulse to chase past wins persists, consider reaching out to a licensed therapist who specializes in gambling disorders. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is an effective approach utilized in treating gambling disorders, and it can help you manage urges to chase previous victories.

In conclusion, the impulse to pursue past wins is a frequent issue among individuals with gambling difficulties. However, by being self-aware, educating oneself, identifying triggers, creating barriers, and seeking help, you can successfully overcome the impulse. Remember, seeking professional assistance is never a bad decision, and it can considerably increase your chances of making a complete recovery.

The pursuit of personal growth and fulfillment lies in the journey, not just in past achievements. Embrace the present moment and keep moving forward with enthusiasm and an open mind. Acknowledge and celebrate your current successes, no matter how small they may seem. Recognize that progress is a series of steps.

Yes o. Past achievements though can be used to inspire but could not be relied upon. It is the present and future endeavors that should be given more emphasis. Therefore it is good to celebrate present achievement than the past achievement.

We must in all ways know whom we are. This will always help us to let know the right feeling and stop the constant urge for betting. Some that do not know themselves keep on chasing their lost or even aspire to win more.

When I'm gambling online I never try to pursue my past winings or even losses because I strictly adhere to responsible gambling and also practise risk management while gambling and make sure I avoid gambling addiction.
