The Jamaican Lottery Scam operates by contacting unsuspecting victims through phone calls, emails, or even personal visits. The scammers, disguising themselves as lottery officials, inform their targets that they have won a significant prize in a Jamaican lottery draw. They falsely claim that, in order to receive their winnings, the victims must first pay a series of fees, taxes, or other charges. Believing the scam to be genuine, many victims comply with these demands, willingly parting with their money in hopes of collecting their supposed prize.
