Processing out-of-state claims does take additional time. Verifying licensing and winnings requires coordination with multiple jurisdictions. Though I aim to promptly issue all winners their just due, cross-border transactions inevitably introduce some incremental bureaucratic hurdles. Some states, like California, have a 30-day processing time for out-of-state claims, while others, like New York, require that the claim be made within 90 days of the drawing. Generally, you can expect it to take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks
