The number of players usually seated at a poker table can vary depending on the type of game and the size of the table. Commercial casinos and card rooms commonly seat 9 or 10 players maximum to a table. However, some variants of poker can only comfortably seat 6 to 7 players. Home poker tables are usually designed to seat 8 players comfortably on an oval table, while octagon tables tend to be about 46 inches and can seat up to 8 players.
