Fellow card players, have you ever noticed that simply by acting last on many hands you are able to win bigger uncontested pots with less risk? This happens because by calling from late position you can see how the hand has developed and how other players have acted. You then only need to call a relatively small bet compared to the size of the pot, placing you in a positive expected value situation. Acting last allows you to "pick your spots," choosing only the strongest hands to play. Playing out of position more requires guessing at the strength of your opponents hands, and calling pre-flop with a wider range.Playing in position should be a key part of any winning poker strategy. What do you think? Any tips to maximise this advantage?
