How to decide when doubling down on 11 is a good move

I want to ask your opinion on doubling down on 11. When I get a total of 11 with my first two cards, I'm often not sure whether I should double down and risk more chips for a potential blackjack win, or just hit for a higher non-blackjack hand. What are some factors you experienced players consider when making this decision? In my game, I usually double down on a soft or hard 11 only when the dealer's upcard is a lower card from 2 to 6.

In some circumstances, you might want to take into account the makeup of the remaining deck. When you double down on 11, your chances of earning a good hand increase if there are more ten-value cards left in the deck.

Deciding whether to double down on 11 in blackjack can be a tricky decision. First, it's important to consider the dealer's upcard. If the dealer has a card between 2 and 6, it's generally a good idea to double down on 11.
