How to place informed bets
There are several regulations that follow here, some of which have to do with numbers and others of which have to do with which teams you may and may not bet on.
For example, even though each wager should account for one to two percent of your bankroll, you can lower this to 0.5 percent if you aren't sure about a particular wager. In a same vein, you can increase your bet if you're feeling very confident, but you should never wager more than 4% of your bankroll.
Some experts also advise not placing a bet if you aren't feeling sure because it's preferable to walk away and find a better wager that you can stand behind.
