Husband of legendary horsetrainer accused of illegal betting violations

Due to claims that he encouraged a gambler to continue betting after they requested to close their account, Australia's most well-known bookmaker will have to wait months to find out what will happen to him.

He is defending himself against claims that, in May 2022, he violated the Betting and Racing Act while interacting with a customer of his bookmaking website RobWaterhouse.com.

According to the state regulator, the customer requested to close his account six times, but the suspect—the husband of a renowned horse trainer—accepted new bets each time.
