In a regular tournament, even with Acesyou can still lose if you get caught in a key position where the payouts make calling a raise worth the risk for your opponent. Early on the prize difference between first and second place may not be that big so others will play speculative hands more often against your Aces. Later when the gap is huge, players will respect your strong starting hand. Tournament structure means your seemingly unbeatable cards can in fact lose to poor timing.
