Iconic Las Vegas casino resort bets big on nostalgia

The only casino on Fremont Street that still has vintage coin-operated slots is El Cortez. Vouchers are accepted at all other casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and downtown. The sound of quarters clanking into a machine after a customer made a big win was eliminated thanks to this modification. Additionally, it did away with the plastic pails that winners used to gather their winnings. Of course, the new system is simpler, but there's something appealing about machines that genuinely give out coins. Circus Circus, a resort casino on the Las Vegas Strip, has welcomed that small touch of nostalgia.
