IGT, Camelot's tech partner, is suing once more about Allwyn's National Lottery award

IGT, Camelot's tech partner, is suing once more about Allwyn's National Lottery awards.

The technological partner of Camelot has reopened the legal dispute over ownership of the National Lottery. After Allwyn purchased Camelot in November 2022, the conflict seemed to have come to an end.
IGT has now filed a lawsuit against the Gambling Commission in accordance with European human rights standards. It claims that the regulator's choice to provide the fourth lottery license to the gaming company Allwyn, which is controlled by the Czech Republic, cost it "marketable goodwill."

The lottery ticket machines at newsstands, supermarkets, and garages are operated by IGT.

If IGT wins in court, the damage award, which may be up to £600 million ($717 million), will be paid from the National Lottery's good causes fund.
