Illegal betting set to account fr $4.6billion in Super Bowl wagering

According to Yield Sec, Americans will place $6.4 billion in total bets online, of which $4.8 billion will go to illegal online sports betting operators and the remaining $1.6 billion to authorized, legal U.S. sports betting operators. According to YieldSec, there will be 429 million wagers on the game overall.

Offering novelty bets to attract bettors outside of the die-hard sports crowd gives the illegal operators an advantage. U.S. sportsbooks are unable to provide those.

I think this is an past data , But still this is a big amount in terms of gambling spend and it shows that almost 25% of the spending is via the illegal platforms which is not a good thing the authorities need to tighten up things actually
