Illegal bookmaker for translator of American football star pleads guilty

An individual from Southern California has acknowledged running an illicit sports betting enterprise that supported the gambling tendencies of professional athletes and the former interpreter of Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani.

The U.S. attorney's office in Los Angeles released a statement on Thursday, stating that the defendant has consented to enter a guilty plea to three counts of information that accuse him of running an illegal gambling business, money laundering, and filing a false income tax return.
