Illinois Gaming Board renews casino gaming and sports betting licenses

Both the master sports wagering license and the gaming license for Rivers Casino and Hawthorne Race Course have been renewed by the Illinois Gaming Board. After a unanimous vote, the licenses have been extended for an additional four years: Rivers Casino will expire in August 2028, and Hawthorne will expire in September of the same year.

Additionally, Rush Street Interactive's application for a four-year Management Services Provider license has been approved by the IGB. Since June 2020, Rush Street Interactive, which runs the mobile sportsbook BetRivers through Rivers Casino, has been doing business in the state under a provisional license.

That is a good thing that the gaming board has finally taken the much needed action actually because it was needed and also it was on cards as well with how things were actually going in the industry
