Illinois supervisor fails to resign despite admitting spending government money at casino

Despite acknowledging using government funds at a casino, an Illinois township supervisor is refusing to leave her job.She admitted to taking out $6,000 in cash from the casino. Additionally, she cashed a third check made out to cash and two checks made out to herself from the township checking account. Six transactions were made at Caesars Entertainment's Horseshoe Casino in St. Louis, according to banking records.
