Imperial Palace casino set to be owned by consortium featuring former worker

A discrimination case against Imperial Pacific International (IPI), the casino's owner, was settled for $5.68 million at the end of May by a former executive of the Imperial Palace on Saipan. The judge will now permit him to join the continuing receivership that has taken control of IPI's Saipan operations because his chances of obtaining the money were worse than those of winning the lottery. There isn't enough left to sell, and it's unlikely that the receivership will be able to pay all of the debts that IPI owe.
