In the most recent regulatory crackdown, the Belgian GC favors a ban on "newscasts games of chance."

In support of a proposed ban on "game shows," the Belgian Gaming Commission (GC) has imposed additional limits on the nation's gambling industry.
The in question game, which has gained popularity in Belgium ever since early 2000s, is classified by the authorities as a "game of chance" and calls for an operating permit.
Because of a decision by lawmakers made two years prior, the GC was given regulatory authority over the games for the first time in 2006. In 2010, regulation was updated to include "televised gambling games" in the registration and licensing structure.
