In the SCOTUS Florida Sports Betting Case, DOI Requests Extension

The Department of Interior seeks an extension in the Florida sports betting case before the US Supreme Court due to attorney unavailability, pushing the response deadline from April 12 to May 12.

The dispute questions DOI Secretary Deb Haaland's authority in approving the 2021 gaming compact between Florida and the Seminole Tribe. The delay may prolong the legal battle until 2025.
